How should I pick my perfect wedding planner?

There is quite a bit at stake when you are planning wedding.  Beyond all the details, there can be stressful emotions, affordability and compatibility issues, and way too many more to count, so you need the right kind of planner for your personality.  I always say, go with your gut.

What if your planning services are included with the Venue?

One of our greatest strengths is that we work directly ‘In-House’ with many of the best venues in Chicago.  That means when our services are already included in your venue price, you get a seamless integration between the Venue features like accommodations, catering, and staff, with the special nuanced attention needed for our culture and traditions.

Do you only do South Asian Weddings?

While we specialize in South Asian Weddings both locally and for destinations, we also do all types of events from Engagement Parties, Baby Showers, Birthdays, Cooperate Events, Concerts, Fundraisers, and many more.  Past clients include AAPI, AIPHA, Apna Ghar, Molly’s Cupcakes, and many more…

 

 

Can I only use the vendors you work with?

Not at all… we have spent over a decade vetting the best of the best for vendors, which has made the planning process for our clients easier than ever.  But each and every vendor started off as a new relationship.  We are always excited to discover new services, new vendors, and new ideas, and will help you get the necessary approval (if required) at each venue.

Will you (JD) always be at my event?

As we work with so many venues as partners, I’m able to empower my staff to run your events if I can’t be there.  We will always have one of our leads on site, and you will meet with them well before hand to make sure you’re feeling absolutely comfortable.

What happens if things aren't working out?

Unfortunately, on some rare occasions things don’t go as planned.  This can occur on either side, meaning dates change, venues change, personalities clash, or weddings get called off.  We will treat each instance fairly and transparently, and on a case by case basis.  In our services contract there are specified timeframes that will address costs associated with changes and cancellations, but we are always driven by the idea of a happy ending, whichever way that comes.

Do you charge an initial consultation?

Not at all… we look forward to meeting with you to explore if we are a perfect match for your dreams…

What additional event services do you offer?

Beyond the scope of what is included in our wedding packages, we are always looking to go beyond the norm.  We can help with wedding shopping in India, day of transportation, media production, speech consultation, you name it!

How much communication will we have?

Depending on the date of your event and the package you’ve selected, we will outline certain meeting milestones that ensure that your timelines and deliverables are being met.  Beyond that we are always available to discuss your event details via phone, email, text, Skype, or in person.

Will I have a wedding planner at my wedding/event?

Yes!  While I would love to be at all places at all times, we often have multiple events coordinated on the same weekends, especially as Chicago has such a limited window for wedding season…  That being said we will always have a lead event coordinator on site for your special day.

All of ur planner are intimate with each venue and vendors, and you’ll get a chance to meet them well in advance so you feel more than just comfortable… you feel confident and excited!
